Adhesive & Resin Temperature Control Equipment

Precision Temperature Control For Adhesive & Resin Manufacturing

At Delta T Systems, our temperature control equipment and industrial process chillers are essential for optimal heat transfer during adhesive and resin production. Designed to handle a wide range of temperatures from 0°F (-18°C) up to 550°F (288°C), our equipment ensures manufacturers can maintain consistent, high-precision temperature control, which is critical for producing higher-quality materials.

Jacketed Vessel Temperature Control for Resin Production

Adhesives and many types of resins are commonly produced by mixing various raw materials in jacketed vessels. A jacketed vessel’s temperature is typically controlled with a hot oil system. Many plastic resin manufacturers take that a step further and mix their resins with additives, sending the mix through an extruder where the temperature is also controlled with a hot oil unit. The extruded product is then cooled down for final processing and packaging.

Roller Application of Adhesives and Resins

In many adhesive and resin applications, temperature control is managed using chill rolls and heat transfer rolls. The wide range of temperature set points required for different coating processes can be easily managed with our programmable temperature control units and process chillers, which can control temperatures within ±0.5°F of the desired set point.

Chill Rolls for Critical Cooling

Chill rolls are important in maintaining product quality and safety by removing heat during production. The coolant flow rate determines the roll’s ability to remove the necessary heat and maintain temperature consistency across the roll face. Delta T Systems offers highly efficient variable speed chillers to manage precise temperature control and flow for chill rolls.

We provide industrial process chillers in multiple configurations:

  • Portable units (1-30 tons)
  • Large-capacity packaged chillers (40-60 tons)
  • Modular chillers for applications over 60 tons

Heat Transfer Rolls for Adhesive Applications

For adhesive and resin processes involving flat rolled goods, heat transfer rolls are often used to apply adhesives and coatings. Even in processes that do not use hot adhesives, heat transfer rolls are essential for heating coated materials, a technique commonly seen in the textile industry.
